It all begins with a
rousing story... "A young lady, the only child of her widowed mother went to
the university to study medicine; after 7 years, as she was returning home from
school she had an accident and died on the spot. Her mother could not enjoy the
labour of her hands. Every power that wants your toil to be in vain is
destroyed today in Jesus name. Type AMEN to claim it. Ignore if you are
heartless" (and then a picture showing an accident scene and a sobbing
woman is attached to the post). Oh...you wanted to type AMEN right? Maybe not.
This is yet
another inspirational post: I am proud to be a child of God/servant of Allah.
If you are not ashamed of Christ/Allah, type AMEN.
In as much as I am not
against the use of social media to propagate the gospel or to bring sensitive
matters to the consciousness of people; before you eagerly punch those four
letters on your phone, ask yourself: am I doing this for valid reasons or
because I have been incited to? A friend of mine wrote: "Violence also
involves the use of intellectual aptness to disillusion your captive's mind to
achieve your goal". Well psychological aptness could also become a viable
tool for mind-violators. Just before you join thousands of enchanted people by
typing an impassioned AMEN or something related on an emotive post; remember
that a psychological warfare has been ensued and the winner is determined by
your reaction...BE WISE!
